Extradition is the surrender of a person accused or convicted of one or more crimes allegedly committed in the territory of the country that complains.
The transfer of sentenced persons is a measure aimed at benefiting foreign prisoners, who are in the custody of the Brazilian justice, facilitating the execution of the remainder of their sentence in their country of origin, along with their families and compatriots, facilitating their reintegration in half social.
The transfer of sentenced persons shall be applied exclusively to the countries with which Brazil has Treaty and will be effective concomitantly with their expulsion. Brazilians who were convicted abroad also receive the same treatment, since the agreements require reciprocity. "
